Battle Spirits Saga: 10 Best White Cards

Jan 21, 2024Jan 21, 2024

White Cards put order back into the chaos in Battle Spirits Saga.

The greatest thing about Battle Spirits Saga is that every single deck is irreplaceable. Red deals the highest damage, purple brings back the dead, yellow manipulates spells and core distribution, and white stands guard.

Themed around ice and machinery, the white deck is known for its creative modes of defense, which include gaining BP while blocking, bouncing Nexuses off the board, refreshing exhausted Spirits, and making them hard to remove. Here are the best ten white cards you can use to win.

Forest of Steel Leaves is one of those niche cards that grow to become one of your favorites. As the only card known to back up your burst card set, Forest of Steel Leaves makes your white Nexuses indestructible when attacked by red cards or Magic spells. At LV2, it goes one step further, returning a Nexus card to your opponent's hand if they manage to destroy one of your Spirits.

By being both pro Mexus and anti-red, Forest of Steel Leaves performs really well on its own as well as in long, strategic matchups.

Pegacyone combines the best of both worlds. At just three cores and one reduction, Pegacyone is completely armored against Spirits, Nexuses and Magic spells of both red and purple decks, and at its highest level, it packs a 7K punch with the ability to block all two-cost enemy Spirits even when it's exhausted, at the expense of one soul core.

With the right Nexus, this machine beast can even ramp up its already hefty 7K block by 2 or 3K, making it an indispensable early game blocker as well as a reliable support card mid-game.

Snowflaken is a great red counter, with armor set up against red attacks in LV1 and LV2, and a special ability to choose an opponent's card with a Curse or Confront keyword and return it to their hand, extending its use as a counter to problematic purple cards that you just can't get around any other way.

Although a lot of players don't see much use in returning a card to your opponent's hand, as opposed to returning it to the top or bottom of their decks, Snowflaken still proves useful in delaying attacks by at least one turn, giving you a chance to draw a Magic spell or buff your lineup with Nexuses.

Infinity Mothership is a card designed to amplify what the white deck does best, refilling your cores by moving them from your trash to your reserve, and supplying you with two more for each Mecha you control. This handy mechanic gives you more chances to deal Magic spells per turn without exhausting or compromising any of your spirits, and banks on you already stacking Mecha spirits from the white deck.

Most players shuffle as many as four Infinity Mothership Nexus cards into their decks, and use it to get more Spirits out on the field and ramp them up for battle.

Another card made to highlight the special strengths of the white deck is Valkyrie Mist, a low cost card that goes up against Spirits twice its size. At the low cost of four cores and three reductions, Valkyrie Mist lets you bounce 7K spirits off the field like an unlucky coin.

This card is similar in mechanic to Sky Dragonlord Platinum, another spirit with the ability to bounce all 3K Spirits off the field when summoned.

Dream Blizzard is an OP magic card that can be found aplenty in almost every deck you will ever build, and that's because both of its abilities are just as essential in tight corners. Dream Blizzard's main attack lets you bounce all nexuses on the field to their owners’ hands, practically resetting the board and nerfing all spirits out on the field, and as either a main or a flash attack, it can buff one of your spirits by a slamming 3K.

To sweeten the pot, and make it accessible at all stages of the game, Dream Blizzard is available at the low cost of four cores and two reductions.

Armored Dragonship Enterprise is where things get a little heavy, armoring you and all your Spirits against all spirits, Nexuses and Magic spells from the red, purple and white decks, as well as refreshing once per turn.

To make things worse for your opponent, Armored Dragonship Enterprise packs a 12K punch without Nexus buffs, and is often shuffled in with a handy Icemaiden MK-II, also known as the only white Spirit with a yellow armor.

Fortress God Knight Odin Type-X is slightly more accessible in terms of cost, but equally useful to white deck players who inevitably control a white Nexus, as it then gains the ability to refresh at the start of the step. It can also bounce one of your opponent's 3K Spirits off the board.

This not only helps you get into a more aggressive gameplay style, but also helps you clear up any problematic blockers to land more precise damage to your opponent's current as well as long game.

Although a lot of players argue that Mechabeast Fortress Naumanngard is only useful when you shuffle in the other two Naumanngard cards into your deck for compounded damage, it has been favored for standalone gameplay as a powerful draw engine as well as a 10K Spirit that's really hard to remove.

Upon destruction, Mechabeast Fortress Naumanngard gives back three cards from your deck and three cores from the void back into your reserve. It also refreshes itself after your attack step, as long as you use this ability once per turn.

Like Divine Moonsky Beast Fanatek Elk and Dinosaur Harrier Turborex, Dualgun Mechlord Dirm Dyna is one of those cards you build your deck around, and walk out on the field to finish the game once and for all.

And that's because there's a lot more to this Mecha than meets the eye. At the cost of one soul core, it lets you select a white Spirit for each Nexus either player controls, and then renders their attacks unblockable during this turn. At 10K without a Nexus to ramp it up, Dualgun Mechlord Dirm Dyna is even harder to destroy because of a special effect - at the cost of one extra core, it can evade death and stay on the field refreshed.
